Canada Day at the Aviation and Space Museum
Canadian pride takes flight this in Ottawa, Ontario. Proudly presented by , this free event is open to the public and features a wide range of performances and hands-on activities for visitors of all ages.
Events include a Parachute GO Skydive* demonstration, an ejection seat test, game and craft stations, access to the museum’s world-class aviation collection, and many other interactive activities. With both indoor and outdoor options to choose from, rain or shine, the Museum is the perfect place to celebrate Canada’s birthday.
At NAV CANADA’s station, Museum visitors will be able to participate in creating their own brush bugs — a kid-friendly science activity, play air traffic control video games, and snap pictures in a special aviation-themed photo booth.
“We’re looking forward to providing guests with an unforgettable Canada Day experience,” says Natalie Pona, Outreach Manager at NAV CANADA. “From the Canadians who have spent time orbiting our planet on the International Space Station, to the men and women who help to safely navigate and fly passengers from one destination to the next, our aviation and space industry is a source for great Canadian pride and we’re honoured to help generations of children and adults discover and celebrate this industry.”
This year marks the second time that NAV CANADA will present Canada Day at the Museum and is part of a new multi-year with the Museum that aims to inspire a young generation from all walks of life to consider a career in the aviation industry.
